on the way
In Israel today there are about 200,000 young people at risk, only about 30% of them receive assistance and it is also limited and partial.
"Fellow of the Road" was established in 2013 with the understanding that many young people are being released from the army into a challenging reality of life and need a character and framework that will accompany them throughout their first steps in the transition to citizenship.
We work to reduce polarization in Israeli society by providing opportunities for military graduates from disadvantaged backgrounds. This is done by combining employment, vocational education and higher education alongside their empowerment, strengthening the sense of competence among them and imparting life skills.
When you are released From the military you're just thinking about how you'll survive The same day ...
You do not have the opportunity to think about your future and the question of "what do I want to be when I grow up" is a privilege. You're just busy In thoughts of how you will close the debts, how you will hold on to the job, how you will pay The rent and feelings of fear and frustration are flooding you
